About Us
Healing Waters is an 8-month residential trauma recovery program for adolescent girls (ages 12-17). Our treatment home will address the holistic needs of young women suffering the devastating effects of of sexual abuse, sex trafficking, rape, incest, depression, anxiety, and poor self esteem. Our unique program will be housed in a 12-bed residential facility located on several acres of secluded, serene, tree speckled desert land, conducive to introspection, reflection, and restoration. Our home will face the future home to the Las Vegas valley's newest equine park. Since 2003, Living Waters has successfully treated adolescent and adult women with the effects of life-controlling challenges such as sexual abuse, incest, rape, sex trafficking victimization, depression, anxiety, and self injury. We will offer a residential trauma recovery program that incorporates spirituality, education, medical assessment and monitoring, and a variety of active therapeutic treatment approaches.

Our Treatment Approach
Our holistic approach to healing draws from an individualized, comprehensive teen- focused model to facilitate for our residents' physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social success.
Our multidisciplinary team of highly qualified, caring and compassionate professionals is comprised of a board certified psychiatrist, a licensed psychotherapist, a registered dietician, certified fitness trainer, and a Bachelor's level restoration coach. Prior to admission, each resident will be screened and assessed for her appropriateness for our program and for her commitment to her personal healing process. Once accepted into our program, our licensed clinical therapist will conduct a thorough comprehensive assessment to identify specific areas of treatment concern. A treatment plan is developed with input from the resident, the therapist and each member of the treatment team to address every facet of the resident's journey to wholeness.

We utilize unconventional therapeutic techniques to address the unique needs of our residents. Our 8 month program is designed to walk each patient through the healing process by providing a supportive environment that encourages and promotes long term success. Each component of our four-phase program allows each resident adequate time and tools to uncover the truth about themselves, about God, about their trauma and about their future.

Phase I: Isha Value: The Value of a Woman©
Upon admission, each teen will be required to complete the 8-week personal value group entitled "Isha Value: The Value of a Woman." This is a scripturally-based didactic group facilitated by our Restoration Coach (Bachelor's level human service professional) designed to teach our residents the truth about who God says they are. Shame, regret, fear and self-recrimination are dispelled as a result of this intensive series.

Phase II: Dismantling Negative Generational Patterns
Phase II of the Healing Waters Program is a six week series of intensive narrative infused therapeutic groups that incorporate the exploration of family of origin patterns in order to enlighten our residents about the cycles perpetuated in their specific families. Each teen is required to complete a genogram (issue- characterized family tree) which assists them in gaining insight into their own emotional, mental, spiritual, biological and social challenges. Teens are encouraged to maintain contact with positively supportive family members to discuss the details of their genograms and to get answers to questions that will aid in their recovery.

Phase III: Sexuality and Spirituality
Phase III of the Healing Waters Program is an eight week series of intensive exploration of the role sexuality plays in the spiritual lives of our teens. Each resident is encouraged to explore the attitudes around sexuality in her family, in her peer relationships and in her community. Teens are educated on the intimate connection spirituality has with sexuality. Sexual freedom is explored in the context of healthy, spiritually mature choices and the resolution of sexually compulsive behaviors.

Phase IV: Quest for Healing: Trauma Recovery Series
Phase IV of the Healing Waters Program is the final ten-week series of intensive process groups focused on guiding our teens through the process of recovery from significant trauma. The group will explore the interrelationship between their addictive behaviors, their trauma and their mental health challenges. Teens are required to complete this portion of the program in order to advance to program graduation.
